Did you know there's an Etsy shop out there called Succulents Galore? It's basically my idea of a utopia -- all sorts of beautiful succulents plants and plant gardens available in great arrangements. Poppy sent me a link to the blog Something Old, Something New, which had a feature on Succulents Galore, and I was instantly smitten with the shop. One thing, though -- I can't help but wonder how they safely mail these delicate plants. Any ideas?
I also recently got a very sweet email from Jess of The Mundane Adventure of Miss Jess (and of Yours Truly Dear), who shared with me a link to a post about succulent bouquets (man, I must talk about succulents a lot around here). They are the creation of Flora Grubb Gardens and were recently featured on the blog Oh Happy Day. I'm pretty sure I've found my ideal (yet hypothetical) wedding bouquet. How gorgeous are these arrangements?

Such succulence! :) I love those flowers.... they are so sweet and demure looking.
ReplyDeleteThey are pretty gorgeous! And the exact type of plant that I can handle...ie: very low maintenance!
ReplyDeleteThese are lovele plants! And I love the bouqutes, too! I'm about to get married and move to California (I'm from Argentina), and I don't want the typical white bouquet with lots of flowers. One of these look like a nice idea.
ReplyDeleteCheers!
Miki.

ReplyDeleteI've been wanting to get more plants for my house lately, I'll have to consider succulents. :-)

My new home has a window right above the sink in the kitchen that looks into my backyard and I SO want a hanging succulent terrarium to hang there. Wouldn't that be lovely?
ReplyDeleteAnd succulent bouquets!? That's awesome!

Oh my those are beautiful
ReplyDeleteSo cool. LOVE succulents, they're so gorgeous and have them in my garden. What a great find in the Etsy shop x
ReplyDeletethose are pretty cool!
ReplyDeleteActually, succulents are easy to ship by mail - the key thing is that they must be dry - quite dry, which is counter intuitive, but they stop growing once they dry out and also they won't rot. I ship succulents all the time, and so far I have had 100% happy customers using this technique.
ReplyDeleteOnce the gardener on the other end receives them, they pot them into DRY potting soil, wait for about a week, then water. In most cases, the plants recover just fine.
Just one more reason to get addicted to these fabulous plants, apart from their many colours and textures.
i LOVE succulents and i also loooove your blog header.
ReplyDeleteI'm a sucker for succulents, too! ;)
ReplyDelete!!! I love this! Although I doubt they can ship to Canada... I need to find a store where I can buy these! Love love love!
ReplyDeleteThanks Oh, My Darling for incuding my shop Succulents Galore in your blog. It's so appreciated!! Yes, plants are shipped dry...wrapped in tissue or garden sleeves then cushioned in shipping peanuts.
