So I recently started a new job (hence the blog silence -- sorry, y'all, I can't wait to have a free evening to catch up on reading all of your lovely blogs!), and I have decided that acquiring squirrel paper clips is a pretty important thing to do, to brighten up the work day. It's also pretty important that I have the right kind of pens (Pilot G2s, of course) because nice ink makes me excessively happy. What strategies do you use to help infuse some extra fun into your 9-to-5?
(paperclips are from Modcloth, found via Hellogiggles)

very nice ....

when i worked a 9-5 i spent more time making my office cute than actually working. and then i got fired for some reason... :S
ReplyDeleteSo sweet, congratulations on your new job! Check out the four exciting new ethical brands and their owners coming up next week over on My Passport to Style. Sharon xx

Congratulations! I'm in love with those paper clips!
ReplyDeleteaw you are the queen of finding the cute!
ReplyDeletei'm not very picky about stationary at work, but super picky when i am studying! i love going to paperchase and picking out cute notepads and files. i am also a big fan of pilot pens, for years i couldn't sit an exam without one!

I've missed your posts, but congrats on the new job! My work space is brightened up by a Lon Chaney action figure (as the Phantom of the Opera with interchangeable masked and unmasked faces!), Charles Dickens action figure, a mini Popple clipped to a wire that runs up the wall behind my desk. Although come to think of it, those first two things are kinda grim, but they still make me happy. ;-)
ReplyDeletethese are cute! I need some to spice up my boring old paper clip routine!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the new job-I think that's a very good reason for going dark! And those squirrels are genius!
ReplyDeleteCongrats!! These paperclips are TOO cute - I have alligator ones :-) They're such a small and easy way to make work a bit more fun :-)
ReplyDeleteHope the new job is going well! These paper clips are adorable. I always have some photos and a pretty calendar on my desk, so that I can daydream instead of working :)
ReplyDeletefirst off, congrats on the new job! at least i hope so. i hope it's an awesome job where you can make good money for the bills and be surrounded by great co-workers, and everything else that you want in a job. secondly, i definitely need some good pens for my job. i'm a therapist and i write a ton of notes through the day. the pens at work just don't cut it. time to bring my own super inky ones.
ReplyDeleteAwe, these are so freaking cute! :D
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great weekend, Melissa!
